Key events during Climate Finance Week Ireland 2019
Climate Finance Week Ireland 2019, which takes place from November 4th to 8th in venues across Dublin, will see many of Ireland’s top decision-makers, financiers, policy makers and climate change experts attend over 20 events aimed at helping businesses to focus on sustainable finance and responsible investment.
Sponsored by AIB and convened by Sustainable Nation Ireland with the Department of Finance, the week-long programme will include talks and discussions on sustainable investment strategies as well as information on the opportunities that will arise as Ireland transitions to a low-carbon economy.
The third annual AIB Sustainability Conference will open proceedings on Monday November 4th. It will focus on leaders who have implemented sustainable business practices from the ground up and how innovation and solution mindsets can help address sustainability and climate challenges.
Speakers at the event will include Jeff Furman, president of the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation; Mick Ebeling, founder and CEO of Not Impossible; Sir David King; Emeritus Professor in physical chemistry at the University of Cambridge; and independent business sustainability advisor Sue Garrard.
Other key events include the launch of a Skills Deep Dive, UNESCO Lab, a day of events centred on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda, the launch of the second annual responsible investment State of Play report, and a Sustainable Finance Innovation and Fintech Day.
